We have been fortunate to work with an amazing group of specialists, artists, designers, and manufacturers. As part of our philosophy of paying things forward, we acknowledge those involved in the development plus the small businesses we have selected to provide the kete contents.
Ecostore is a proud NZ owned company creating environmentally responsible products formulated from plant and mineral-based ingredients proven to be effective, kind and made at the net carboNZero Auckland factory, and Eco Store is also a certified B-corp.
We hope you love their soaps as much as we do.
Craig and Katja’s passion for soy wax candles, combined with a desire to preserve the beautiful NZ environment, led to the creation of Earth Candles Co. in late 2015.
Earth Candles focus on quality products with a professional finish while reducing waste by emptying wine and beer bottles from local wineries and repurposing them into natural soy wax candles, bringing beautiful NZ fragrances to the recipient.
The Wee Flower Candle Company is a small candle-craft manufacturer based in Kapiti, NZ.
This wonderful small business focuses on hand pouring superior quality candles using a blend of coconut and soy wax and natural fragrances.
For our Woven Wellbeing Wraps we have a focused on Pohutukawa and Kowhai natural scents – the glass exterior makes recycling or re-filling easy at a local place near you.
Simply Kawakawa are a provider of our natural healing balms.
As a small husband and wife team, we loved their dedication to creating all-natural products that are environmentally friendly.
Kawakawa is a New Zealand plant, and its healing properties are excellent for dry irritated skin, and sore lips, as a body moisturiser, and as a general healing balm.
Breathe Easy balm includes a perfect blend of essential oils ( eucalypus, peppermint and, teatree). Sleepy Time balm includes lavender essential oil.
The Kawakawa used is sourced on Kath & Jody’s property, with a little karakia (prayer) to Papatuanuku (mother earth) to thank her.
Milne Print is a full service printing company located in the heart of central Wellington. They printed the beautiful appreciation cards, as well as our outer sleeve for the wrap. We have worked with Milne print for almost a decade, and love their ability to listen and help get a great result.
Milne replaced traditional oil based inks with mineral free vegetable inks made from renewable resources.
They are a small family-owned business started in 1951 by John Milne. In 1964 a young man, Harvey Skogstad joined the company as an apprentice and in 1981 he bought the business. His son Jon manages things today and you’ll find him walking the shop floor just like Harvey.
Sarah Barclay from AJ Park. Sarah and her team provided legal advice, support, and step-by-step guidance from the very early design regarding best practice for non-disclosure, brand, and registration of the design in NZ, which gave us absolute confidence to begin our project – thank you so much Sarah for your professional, pragmatic and yet equally personal support of our project.
With warmest appreciation, the storytellers are:
Amazing ‘True Colours’ vocals by Rachel McSweeney. Hannah and Shivaun have known Fiona for over 20-years, since they were wee girls in Feline Dance. Felines were a charity focused dance group in Wellington that Fiona ran for 15 years - girls dancing for fun, to increase confidence, and to raise money for CanTeen - an NZ teenage cancer charity.
It’s been such a privilege to have both of them involved in this.
Rose Ritson Trenwith is a NZ artist and sculptor. We commissioned her to create this colourful painting piece inside the Woven Wellbeing Wrap. We had previously experienced Rose's incredible talent and ability to pour empowerment, connection, and belonging into her art.
See www.roseart.co.nz if interested in seeing more of her unique art, plus you can commission her with your own vision. She’s a joy to work with – thank you.
Husband and wife Byron and Meagan Taylor plus their team are professionals who not only deliver a phenomenal product they have an infectious energy and positivity that is inspiring - they gathered all product concepts, big and small and snippets that were important to us and passionately brought to life our story our way – thank you.
Stacey McFarlane is a brilliant NZ graphic designer, and was commissioned to do our Woven Wellbeing Wrap work, having previously also done the transformational graphic design, layout and final pre-print production of Fiona’s book “WOVEN” - available on Amazon.
A revised Woven is due to be launched soon – thank you again Stacey!
Iona Woolgrove, an NZ designer and pattern maker, provided the first pattern from our handmade concept design, which led us to work with Purnaa in Nepal.
Purnaa have been the perfect ethical Fair Trade Organisation partner for us to work with to manufacture our product.
In New Zealand, there are no manufacturers yet who recycle or upcycle disregarded plastic bottles and create fabrics, so finding a partner that fits our desire to support environmentally friendly products and processes was key – thank you.
